Reject gives a new path to overlooked stories and voices.
We want writers to shake the dust off of the ideas that may have been rejected for publication, but refuse to lie down quietly.
We are big believers that stories need the right time, space, and moment to be heard.
We're a space special-made for rejects
And we're an online and print magazine proudly based in Indianaplis! We're thinking we'll be a quarterly production, but it may depend on funds (click below to donate to our Kickstarter page).
Our website is mostly for submissions today, but we're hoping to eventually include a space for writing inspiration and encouragement and a roundup of other places to submit.

Reject is for anyone who enjoys a good story.
Who is a bit of a rebel and revolutionary at heart. Who has a belief in themselves, and also a belief in a bit of magic and kismet.
Who believes there’s a space for all stories and writers, if not now, then some other time.
Call for Submissions
Our requirements are simple: You're a writer whose work wasn't accepted by a publication, institution, contest, etc. Hell, even your school newspaper and family Christmas newsletter counts!
Every accepted submission will receive $50. Any additional money raised from our Kickstarter campaign from now until mid-September will mean more payment for our writers.
Submissions close September 19th!
